Ayana Yoga – Little Yogis Retreat (Ardross)

WHAT: A yoga retreat for the kids! (And perhaps time off for the parents)

CircusWA (Fremantle)

At CircusWA we offer classes for all ages and all abilities from 2+ years to professional performers. The basis of all our classes is about the spirit of community, skill exploration, development and having fun.

Our program promotes circus skills both as a means to improve health and as a form of artistic expression. Through games and dedicated teaching practices our trainers work to inspire students to be self-motivated and engaged throughout their classes. We believe in allowing students to flourish at their own pace in a non-competitive and nurturing environment.

Code Camp is where parents of kids aged 5-13 years discover fun school holiday activities and after-school programs that empower children to get creative with technology.

Every Code Camp has a qualified school teacher running the show as Camp Manager, ensuring a happy and safe experience for all kids.

Not Yet Perfect – Pottery Wheel Workshop (Applecross)

Explore the beautiful art of pottery during this fun, creative and slightly messy workshop. 

Presented by Not Yet Perfect in the beautiful, light filled, Heathcote ceramics studio, kids will discover how pottery is created from start to finish.

Your children can expect to learn a complete set of wheel working skills, including:

  • The basics of using the pottery wheel
  • Preparing the clay before for turning on the wheel
  • Centering the clay on the wheel
  • How to create different shapes on the wheel

Suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 8 years old). Adult accompaniment is not required.

When: Tuesday 4th July or Tuesday 11th July 10.00-11.30am

WA Maritime Museum – Sea Monsters Exhibition (Fremantle)

These school holidays, take the family and deep dive into the prehistoric past. Come face to face with some seriously scary sea monsters at WA Maritime Museum. 

‘Sea Monsters: Prehistoric Ocean Predators’ exhibition brings together real fossils from millions of years ago, interactives, a feature film and life-sized casts from actual specimens, including a 13-metre long Elasmosaurus! 

There are plenty of additional school holiday activities and workshops to keep all ages entertained and discovering more. Young adventurers can set off on an after dark expedition and explore with a guided torchlight tour. For the creative minds, drawing monsters and snow dome workshops are simply perfect to unleash their creativity. If movie nights are a staple in your household, explore the exhibition, then sit back and enjoy a heart-warming family-friendly film ‘Luca’ in a special After Dark event, complete with popcorn and spot prizes! 

Come and adventure into the prehistoric oceans to discover more about these predators of the past!
