The mission of Thriving Inc is to use exercise expertise to improve the health outcomes of kids & young people. In order to achieve this we offer exercise programs for kids and young people, and education for families and parents.
Thriving AfterSchool is an exercise rehabilitation program for kids and teens impacted by any conditions or challenges that limit their ability to participate in school or community based activity. Services are provided by Accredited Exercise Physiologists or Exercise Scientists - experts in using exercise for health. We can cater specifically for kids with musculoskeletal conditions; poor or delayed movement skills; behavioural, developmental or social challenges (e.g. non-verbal, social or activity anxiety); childhood cancer; metabolic disease and complex juvenile conditions (incl. intellectual/behavioural difficulties, depression/anxiety and Autism).
- 1-on-1, small group and strength & conditioning sessions are available
- Appointments are available Mon-Fri (during and after standard school times) and Saturday mornings from 8am
- Services are conducted at the University of Western Australia in Nedlands or via our Thriving Connect Telehealth program (live online sessions)
Additionally, we provide training opportunities for families, young people and health professionals that support the health of young people e.g. Mental Health First Aid. Registered charity with ACNC.
