Love Where You Live – Attadale

With a front seat to the Swan River, Attadale boasts first class views of the Perth City skyline and possesses an extensive foreshore with masses of green open space. The scenic suburb of Attadale includes over 40 hectares of parkland, making it the perfect environment for outdoor recreation, as well as room for both kids and dogs to roam around in.

Named after a small Scottish town by WA Senator Sir Alexander Perceval Matheson, Attadale borders Bicton, Melville, Myaree and Alfred Cove. This picturesque suburb aligns one of the Swan Estuary Marine Parks and provides a copious number of parks and reserves to explore on land. These include Alfred Cove Nature Reserve (a bird sanctuary and part of an ongoing foreshore regeneration scheme), Troy Park (a popular BBQ spot and kids party location), Point Walter Reserve, Ern Stapleton Reserve, Harry Sandon Reserve, Wal Hughes Reserve and Mick Jahn Reserve.

Attadale has its own small corner shopping centre which provides a diverse menu of eateries, covers your basic grocery needs and has a small selection of personal service businesses. If a larger shop is required, it’s only a short drive to Westfield Booragoon and there’s easy access to Fremantle and the CBD via Canning Highway.

Even though it’s just 9km from the CBD, this family-centric suburb is a stone’s throw away from all the services and amenities any family would need so that you don’t need to leave the area. As well as childcare options, there are core medical centres and various speciality centres within close proximity. Community and sporting facilities include Attadale Netball Club and Attadale Junior Football Club, plus Attadale Scout Group to keep the little ones entertained.

Attadale has a mix of housing but with a largely affluent theme throughout the majority of the suburb. You will see some of the area’s best homes located home along Burke Drive, especially when reaching the hills towards Point Walter Reserve. As an area that attracts many families, the suburb has some great school options and is loved by many. We certainly share their views!
