Banjup Local, Banjup

The Banjup Local is a fantastic setting for a family outing. The staff are very friendly and extremely accommodating. There is so much space for the kids to run around and plenty of animals for them to interact with. There is no indoor seating and outdoor seating is limited so be sure to take some picnic chairs or blankets. This is a sweet tooth stop with an array of cookies and cakes.

8 Knots Tavern, East Fremantle

Located on the waters edge alongside John Tonkin Reserve, Zephyr café enjoys views of the North Fremantle Rock Bay area. Little Creatures, Fremantle

Soak up the Little Creatures atmosphere indoors or relax outside in the front or back yard, enjoying the sunshine. An open kitchen is on show, so the children can enjoy watching the chefs make their popular pizzas or they can have fun in the sand pit out the back. Moore & Moore Café, Fremantle

At Moore & Moore Café, you can find good wholesome food and great coffee, in a beautiful building that is shared with Moore’s Contemporary Art Gallery. There’s a great atmosphere that has become part of the Freo West End. In the back courtyard, tucked around the corner is a great play area for the children to enjoy whilst you take a moment for yourself.

The Boatshed Café is a relaxed and casual venue with an amazing view of the Swan River. There is a cubby house, fully fenced playground to entertain the kids whilst you enjoy a little break. There is always a lovely selection of cakes and slices on display as well as great menu selection to choose from. Situated right next to Sir James Mitchell Park, The Boatshed Café makes for a great stop before or after a walk along the river.


Little Olive Leaf Cafe, Willagee

Little Olive Leaf Café is a family run café offering delicious wholesome food, great coffee, a cosy atmosphere inside and a beautiful, relaxed space in the back courtyard. There is a small selection of toys for the little ones to play with at the far end of the courtyard and there’s some colouring activities too. The food cabinet always has a selection of fresh food to choose from as well as the ever-popular smiley face biscuit for the kids.

Lo Quay River Café, Wilson

Lo Quay River Café is a vibrant riverfront café with a casual relaxed atmosphere. There is a purpose-built shaded nature playground along with views of the river and city skyline from every table. Take a change of clothes for the kids, as there’s some fun water play too! There’s a book library for you to enjoy some reading whilst the little ones amuse themselves. It is usually quite busy at the weekends, so book a table if you can… near the playground!
