Coogee Beach Festival, Coogee

Join MC Christina Morrissy for Australia Day celebrations at Coogee Beach, with live acts and heaps of family friendly entertainment.

Valet bike parking will be available along with free bike check-ups.

Road Closures and Parking

Powell Road access closed 6am to 1pm. Parking for this event is opposite the beach off Cockburn Road and at Coogee Hall off Howick Court. Access to Coogee Beach Cafe and regular beachgoers parking is via Peri end through Orsino Bvd. The City of Cockburn apologises for any inconvenience that this event may cause.


Lotterywest Entertainment Zone, Perth

The Entertainment Zone presented by Lotterywest is the place to be with family fun for everyone galore plus Perth’s best views of Skyworks that starts at 8pm. Here’s what you can find at Langley Park on Australia Day.

Birak Concert, Perth

Celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island cultures; the annual Birak Concert boasts a stellar line up of indigenous entertainment. Bring a picnic blanket, sunscreen and hat to enjoy the event from day through to evening. There will be a selection of community stalls to meander through, baseball activities and an Elders Tent. If you are unable to make it on the day, the whole event will be broadcast live by Noongar Radio.


Great Aussie Breakfast, South Perth

The Great Aussie Breakfast is set to sizzle after the Citizenship Ceremony with the Rotary Club of Como providing a BBQ breakfast with a choice of fruit and a cup of tea, coffee, juice or water for the small cost of $5 each, which goes back into the local community.

There will also be free entertainment for the kids.


Family Fun Australia Day, Shelley

Head down to the Shelley Foreshore for a morning of family fun, and by family we mean your DOGS as well! Soak up the summer atmosphere while you tuck into tasty offerings from the food trucks and have a go at some of the available activities;

  • 2km or 4km walk with your pooch

  • Free stand up paddle boarding
  • Aussie and dog themed craft activities
  • Sporting pop ups for kids
  • Photo Booth (pet friendly)

Applecross Tennis Club Skyworks, Applecross

For a great view of the Australia Day Fireworks show, pack a picnic rug and head to the Applecross Tennis Club. BYO meat to BBQ with salads, rolls & dessert provided. Drinks are available from the licensed bar.

Tickets are required but numbers are limited. Cost for Kids $5, Adults $10 each or $25 for a family (2 Adults & 2 Kids).
