This inaugural festival in 2020 especially symbolises the community emerging from the darkness of the medical pandemic and into the light of survival, hope, love and recovery. It is a festival of shared goodness, humility, tolerance, diversity, togetherness and kindness.

Diwali, the Indian Festival of Light, is a festival of new beginnings and the triumph of good over adversity, and the light over darkness.
