The South Fremantle Community Association Incorporated, along with a number of local sponsors and co-hosts, are closing down part of South Terrace to bring to you a huge street party in celebration of Diwali and cultural diversity of the area.
A family friendly event, there will be something for everyone. A bouncy castle, petting zoo, chalk art and games for the kids; restaurants, food trucks and bars for when you get hungry and of course a huge array of entertainment including Bollywood dancers, hip hop, ballroom, salsa, Croatian and line dancers, just to name a few!

This inaugural festival in 2020 especially symbolises the community emerging from the darkness of the medical pandemic and into the light of survival, hope, love and recovery. It is a festival of shared goodness, humility, tolerance, diversity, togetherness and kindness.
Diwali, the Indian Festival of Light, is a festival of new beginnings and the triumph of good over adversity, and the light over darkness.
