Australia’s festival of pre-loved stuff, the Garage Sale Trail, is back this November, online and in your neighbourhood.
This year you can SELL, SHOP and LEARN on the Garage Sale Trail and with heaps of ways to be involved online, you can participate irrespective of the restrictions where you are.
- Be part of a Trail Tutorial online masterclass on 6-7 Nov.
- Sell or shop at garage sales online or, if restrictions allow, in your community on 13-14 & 20-21 November. You’ll divert valuable resources from landfill and make or save money in the process. It’s free to register and we provide all the tips, support and promotional materials you need to be successful and stay safe.
It’s fast becoming a national movement of reuse-loving, community-minded individuals who come together on one weekend to clear out their pre-loved stuff, find treasure, meet the neighbours and have some fun.
Whether you’re looking to declutter or make some money, love the search for a unique bargain, or just want to take part in a fun community event, get involved!
To register, visit www.garagesaletrail.com.au/city-of-melville
Garage Sale Trail is made possible locally thanks to the support of 100+ local councils.
Choose to reuse
Almost half (45%) of all global CO2e emissions come from making, consuming and disposing of stuff, meaning how we choose to consume and use things can have a big impact in the fight against climate change.
By buying or selling your stuff at a garage sale and choosing to reuse, you not only make or save money, but also keep items circulating and in use for longer reducing your carbon, waste and water footprint. It’s the circular economy in action!
