Event Details

Delight in the magic of colour at the opening of Hundreds & Thousands – a vibrant new exhibition for kids and families.

Meandering through a spectrum of colour-themed spaces, audiences will encounter soft sculptures to touch, kaleidoscopic wall installations and twinkling fields of colourful lights, designed to spark little imaginations while expanding boundaries of perception and understanding.

Opening celebrations
Join us at the daytime opening at 10am on Sat 20 Nov, which will include family friendly entertainment, food, games, and an array of interactive activities.

Sunday Music gets colourful!
To celebrate Hundreds and Thousands, Odette Mercy and her Soul Atomics’ Kids Soul Party will brighten up the Front Garden on Sun 21 Nov from 2-4pm with her joyous brand of soul-funk, in an interactive performance which kids (and big kids) will love in equal measure. Expect colourful tunes, dancing and kid-friendly fun.

A series of colourful public programs and special events will accompany Hundreds & Thousands, including pin-wheel flower making, community kite-flying days, special artist talks and education programs about the science and theory of colour.
