Event Details
Kennedy Baptist College are partnering with local primary schools and the wider community to host a Protective Behaviours Information Evening. They place a high value on the social and emotional development of all students, and are constantly seeking opportunities to enhance their safety.
Kennedy Baptist College would like to formally invite you to attend the Protective Behaviours Evening that will address child safety in 2021 and beyond. A large focus of their efforts has been placed on the development of skills and education around Protective Behaviours. The Protective behaviours education focuses on developing student empowerment, communication, self-esteem, resilience, social skills and other life skills to prevent abuse, reduce violence and promote life-enriching rather than life-depleting experiences.
This parent/guardian focused information evening is designed specifically to help understand the current issues students are facing and what families can do to help their children develop effective protective behaviours. Andrea Musulin is a leading expert in child protection, teenager safety and cyber safety will present this session. This will be an informative and important night for the community. This will be strictly for parents and guardians only as sensitive information will be presented.
We are excited about this opportunity to host this event and we encourage you to attend this important night. If you have any questions, concerns or require clarification regarding this, please do not hesitate to contact Mr David Orr, Protective Behaviours Coordinator email: dorr@kennedy.wa.edu.au
